Nick & Jessica Rose

Nick & Jessica Rose
  • Born in: Beaver Bank, NS on
  • Family pets: 2 boys aged 6 and 3
  • Bio: Our fishing journey didn't start like many others typically do, with both of our youth filled with competitive dance (Jess) and competitive hockey (Nick), neither of us fished much at all growing up. Fishing came into my life (Nick) after I had recently recovered from a very tough time in 2019. I needed something to keep me busy and to help both release and relieve stress in a positive way. I soon caught my first smallmouth bass shortly after starting to fish and quickly fell in love with the sport. Not only can you enjoy the outdoors, but you also get to fight and land one of the toughest fighting species out there. In August of 2021 Jess and I had an anniversary trip planned on a lake for her to relax and for me to fish. Shortly after launching our converted 14ft jon boat to bass boat, I convinced Jess to make a few casts. As she proceeded to catch multiple big fish and have an amazing weekend on the water, a new fishing duo was born. Since that weekend we have competed in some local tournaments, winning one event at Shortts Lake in September 2021. We have also competed in one New Brunswick Bass Tour event and had a great first day in Perth-Andover with 20.37lbs of smallmouth bass; an amazing day we'll never forget!
  • Hobbies: Adventuring outdoors with our two boys (aged 6 & 3) and traveling to our family’s cottage in the summer to enjoy time with our family & friends.
